Hello Ramblers! Sorry for not blogging in the past few weeks! As you can imagine, things have been pretty hectic what with impending doom and all. Anyways, since the majority of us are probably confined to our homes until further notice, I have a feeling that cleaning and online shopping are going to be on your to-do list quite often. Which means, now is actually the perfect time to make some zero waste or eco-friendly swaps around the home! At least for non-essentials such as laundry detergent, soap, cleaning supplies, silicone things, etc. So, to continue the beginner sustainable swap series (only a few weeks late), let's talk about the laundry room! If you haven't read the first post in the series that dealt with the bathroom, check it out here.
This post is going to be short and sweet because, after all, there's only so many things you need to do your laundry! Most of the links I provide will be from Package Free Shop (Intl), Earth Hero (USA, email for Canada), and Green Bohème (Intl)! All of these sites package their items in recyclable or compostable packaging. I'm sure there are more out there as well, though!
Alright people, that is all I have for you today! I hope these are useful and that you will be inspired to add some of these to your carts next time you do some online shopping. Which, nowadays, is probably a lot more often than usual. Even though I linked to shops that are zero waste, I realize that shopping at these sites isn't always a possibility. However, a lot of these items (or similar ones from different brands) can be found on Amazon or at your local Natural Grocers. Even though there is plastic involved when getting things from Amazon, if you buy it with a bunch of other stuff, it's still better in the long run than choosing a toxic product.
Let me know if you all have tried any of the listed products and if you have any more recommendations!
I hope you all are safe and healthy!
