Hello, hello Ramblers! I hope you all are having an excellent week. I am pretty burned out, but on the bright side, there's only 7 more days until March! I don't know about you guys, but March usually lifts my spirits up because I know Spring is coming and the days are going to get longer at a quicker pace. This time of year is also when I like to do some Spring Cleaning. And by that, I don't mean taking all the things I don't like and throwing it in the trash because that would be bad for the planet. No siree, when I say Spring Cleaning, I mean getting rid of things sustainably by donating, selling, or trading all the stuff I don't want/need. If you need the 411 on sustainable decluttering, check out this blog post.
During this Spring Cleaning time, I will probably need to replace/refill on some things. Anything I'm replacing or getting more of will be replaced by something more sustainable. So, as a way of making myself a checklist and to share my eco-friendly swapping experience, I have decided to start a new Beginner Sustainable Swap Series (although, I will include some advanced options for you zero waste veterans). For the first post, we are focusing on the BATHROOM.
When it comes to first aid, you should always, ALWAYS put your health first. If you cannot afford a more sustainable or zero waste option, then that is ok. Use whatever option you can afford. Your health will always be more important. That said, let's move on!
Ditch the plastic tampons and pads and opt for some eco-friendly, biodegradable, or reusable period essentials!
Will be in a future post dedicated to just cleaning stuff because there's too much to fit into this post!
Alright y'all, I hope you guys liked this post, maybe learned something new, and are now inspired to make some sustainable swaps in your bathroom! There are zero waste/ eco-friendly swaps for everything and I know I didn't list every single one of them here. If you want to see what else you could possibly swap, just scroll through some zero waste online stores or Instagrams, and you'll find more stuff! If you know of any other zero waste or sustainable swaps that I didn't list, make sure to comment them below!
Come back in two weeks to read about the next room I'll be tackling: the laundry room!
