Hello Ramblers, look who's back! I know it's been a long time since I've blogged and this blog post is about a month late, but I promise it's because I've been a busy bee and not lazy! Well, ok, maybe a little bit lazy too. But hey, a girl needs her down time amidst all the medical school applications and exams, work, and conferences. Anyways, let's talk about 2020 visions, y'all!
In case you didn't look at the picture above, go take another peek at it because that, ladies and gents, is my vision board for 2020. This vision board was inspired by amandarachlee on YouTube and is even in her doodle bullet journal. If you guys enjoy bullet journaling or want some inspiration, I highly recommend you check out her channel.
The first thing I did was make a list of things I wanted to happen in 2020. Once I had a couple of things jotted down, I headed over to Pinterest and WeHeartIt for some inspiring pictures to match my list, plus a few aesthetic pictures that bring a mood I want in 2020. My list consisted of
After taping all my pictures down, I drew in random lines and dots and wrote some things I wanted to focus on in 2020. I want to work hard at my lab and on creative projects I've been tinkering with. At the same time, I also want to make sure that I have time to play and enjoy life. It's all about that balance. To go along with the creative projects, I want to create more things this year - whether that be writing, DIYing, baking, or creating magical memories.
The last word I wrote was heal. Like many, if not all, of us out there, I've got some physical and mental scarring that needs healing. I don't know how I'm going to do all that yet, but I know it's gonna start by reconnecting with my body and soul. I really want to try hopping on the meditation wagon, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to just sit and relax. I'm planning on getting back into yoga and maybe dancing too. Of course, another way to heal is by spending time with friends (old and new), spending time outdoors, and doing things you love. Anyways, I'll be sure to let you guys know if I figure the whole healing thing out. In the meantime, I recommend checking out Bailey's latest blog on energy boosters for 2020.
Finally, I added some quotes that I thought were cute and inspiring. "Nevertheless, she persisted" is a quote that I've loved for a long time. I found the "be the moon" quote on WeHeartIt and just thought it was cute and positive. Gotta bring all that positivity into 2020, amiright?
Anyways, that is my #2020vision! Let me know what your goals and hopes are for the year in the comments below!
