Sorry again, I think I’ve been on a summer schedule recently, meaning blogging’s been back of mind. But anywhooo, speaking of summer, let’s chat summer workouts.
My favorite? As you know I’m partial to spin classes. With Chuze fitness, I can get unlimited spin classes (plus regular gym, yoga, and other classes) for only $22 a month. I force myself to go at least twice a week, sometimes up to four. Only downside is trying to work around when the classes are offered with your life schedule. But I find sticking to a specific set of classes each week helps you stay motivated and on track, especially if your summer schedule is a bit crazier than your normal routine.
I also LOVE being able to finally get outside in this warm weather. I’m a big fan of outdoor cardio, specifically hiking. If you’re going to work out, it might as well be an adventure...right? I’ve also been trying to run outside more too, helps me stay focused as I have somehow seemed to lost all interest in running on the treadmill. I still to the elliptical and strength training a few times a week, but I definitely need to AMP up my workouts for the summer.
Now that my boyfriend, Tomas, has moved back in, we’re trying to adjust to a new workout schedule and diet. We’ve incorporated a lot more salads, and I’m still a big fan of morning protein shakes. I have my days where I’ve fallen on the wagon, but I’m trying to slowly get back on it regularly! If anyone has tips or their summer workouts that they’d like to share, hit me up as I’m definitely looking for some new, interesting strength and core workouts to incorporate.
