Do you suffer from the “Sunday Scaries?” You know, that overwhelming sense of anxiety and impending doom that comes with starting a new work or school week all over again. Well, you’re not alone! Trust me that this a very real feeling, and sometimes can lead to you procrastinating to the point that by the time Monday rolls around, you’re already doomed.
Something I wanted to blog about today is around relationships in your twenties, and how it can be so difficult to understand what’s right, what’s wrong, and what you want. It’s navigating endless waters and different turns, not knowing what’s around each bend. And I’m not even talking romantic relationships, but all important connections that you make during this time.
We took a bit of a vacation… (well Anne was still in Vietnam, and I took off for the week of the 4th)….but ANYWAYS, now that we’re both back we are ready to rumble and ramble with you! This week is all about bargains, saving, and how to make every penny count as a young adult. I mean, let’s face it, sometimes you have to get a little scrappy, especially because the real world is expensive AF!
Well, I apologize for once again being delayed in blogging. But as usual, we have a ton going on! Summertime is always hectic for us, as I’m sure it is for you. What I wanted to talk about today is the concept of growth.
Happy June! Where did the time go? Since Anne is off traversing the streets of England and Vietnam for a month, you’re stuck with me and various guests until she returns. If you’re like me you probably have a super busy summer ahead, but there’s still time to pack in a few mini-trips here and there. This week, I wanted to share a few weekend getaways that I’m hoping to get under my belt for this summer. I’ve shared my top staycation destinations below for those of you in the Colorado area.
Sorry again, I think I’ve been on a summer schedule recently, meaning blogging’s been back of mind. But anywhooo, speaking of summer, let’s chat summer workouts.
Happy Friday, sorry I’m so behind, this week has been crazy. With friends graduating, my boyfriend moving back in, and about a hundred other things needing attention; I hope you understand! I am so excited for things to slow down when summer rolls around. As most of you know, I recently just turned 22 and just surpassed a year-to-date of being graduated from college. It’s kind of weird seeing how quickly a year goes by once you’re out of school, and to have so much changed and yet nothing at all has. I thought I would share a few pieces of advice, for any other young adults out there navigating this crazy world!
Enjoy 20 tips from a 20-something! Let me know what you think in the comments below.
“A friend is what the heart needs all the time.” ~ Henry Van Dyke
It’s been a crazy day already. I recently got all four of my wisdom teeth removed a few days ago, so work and my organizations that I’m a part of have really been piling up. So, I hope that you are having a better Monday than me. Anyways, this week’s theme is all around the importance of friendship, and the vital role that plays in a 20-something’s point in life.
Friendship for me is huge, as I am an extremely sensitive, relationship-oriented extrovert in case you couldn’t tell. It is because of my friendships, that I have formed over the years, that I was able to develop into the person I am today, discover a career that I love, and be able to recognize many of the precious moments in life. With that being said, I thought I would put together a listicle of the 7 types of friends that you’ll want in your life to truly be the best you that you can be. If you have a special person that falls into one of these categories, feel free to comment below and let us know. You can never spread too much love and acknowledgement in my opinion.
I know we’re a bit behind schedule, things have been a bit crazy since both Ann and I are in New York this week! Usually this would be a Monday blog, but we Tuesday work too. I’m super excited for my New York trip, which I’ll blog about later on next week. In the meantime, though, this week is about living with your significant other.
So today I’m going to go on a bit of a tangent—so this is the warning if you’re not into protecting the environment, impacting climate change, or general tree hugging to back out now. In fact, if you don’t believe that we need to take a serious look in the mirror as a society and fix the mess we made; please do me a favor and pick up a real book.
You may be asking why is this important? It’s just a little weather isn’t it? So, what if our summers are warmer, there’s a few more hurricanes, maybe a couple less cuddly animals are roaming around…WRONG. Let me paint a picture for you.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
