Do you suffer from the “Sunday Scaries?” You know, that overwhelming sense of anxiety and impending doom that comes with starting a new work or school week all over again. Well, you’re not alone! Trust me that this a very real feeling, and sometimes can lead to you procrastinating to the point that by the time Monday rolls around, you’re already doomed.

Happy Friday Junior Ramblers! In case you haven’t guessed it already from listening to the podcast or following our social media, today we are talking about how I got to meet my biological Vietnamese family! If you have been with us since the beginning of time, then you already know that I, Anne, was adopted when I was 8 months old. In case you didn’t know that, here is the blog post I wrote in January about my adoption and all that. At the end of that post, I said that I wanted to visit Vietnam and my Vietnamese family this summer. Well, guess what? I did just that

Something I wanted to blog about today is around relationships in your twenties, and how it can be so difficult to understand what’s right, what’s wrong, and what you want. It’s navigating endless waters and different turns, not knowing what’s around each bend. And I’m not even talking romantic relationships, but all important connections that you make during this time.

Hellooo Ramblers! Guess who’s back??
That’s right, after a month of traveling, Anne is back! Did you miss me? I sure missed you guys… and my cat… and a properly working shower. Know what I didn’t miss though? The pile of papers and clutter that I had left in my apartment.

We took a bit of a vacation… (well Anne was still in Vietnam, and I took off for the week of the 4th)….but ANYWAYS, now that we’re both back we are ready to rumble and ramble with you! This week is all about bargains, saving, and how to make every penny count as a young adult. I mean, let’s face it, sometimes you have to get a little scrappy, especially because the real world is expensive AF!

It’s nice to meet you! I’ve been a friend of these two since middle school and man how time flies. To think we’re working on advanced degrees or getting our feet wet in the world that is a full time job. Similar to Bailey, I’m working full time at my first job just getting the hang of that adulting life. But we’re not here to talk about how to adult or excel at work today, today is about having fun.

How are already two-thirds of the way through June? WHERE DOES THE TIME GO? Between spin, starting a new fitness program, weekend getaways with my boyfriend, seeing friends, a full-time job, and a leadership position in an association….it’s been hectic for sure. Anyways, I know a lot of you are in the boat of looking for full-time jobs post-graduation or full-time internships for the Fall. One of those major things that can separate you from the rest of the pack of job-seekers is a killer cover letter.

Well, I apologize for once again being delayed in blogging. But as usual, we have a ton going on! Summertime is always hectic for us, as I’m sure it is for you. What I wanted to talk about today is the concept of growth.

Hi love, are you doing ok?
I’ve learned that in Liverpool, when Scousers (as the people of Liverpool are called, or also Liverpudlians) ask you “are you doing ok?”, it’s not because they think something is wrong. This catchphrase is actually how you will be greeted and it is their way of asking “how are you doing?” I definitely stared blankly for a few seconds the first time a Scouser asked me that haha, but after being asked the same thing a few more times, it finally hit me.

Happy June! Where did the time go? Since Anne is off traversing the streets of England and Vietnam for a month, you’re stuck with me and various guests until she returns. If you’re like me you probably have a super busy summer ahead, but there’s still time to pack in a few mini-trips here and there. This week, I wanted to share a few weekend getaways that I’m hoping to get under my belt for this summer. I’ve shared my top staycation destinations below for those of you in the Colorado area.
I believe the richest people in the world are those who are rich in experiences, and there is nothing like a summer packed full of memories to make you feel like the wealthiest person in the world!
