Happy Spring, and happy birthday season for Anne and me over here! Along with us, many of our friends have birthdays coming up within the next few weeks, so it’s often a time that the money is low but the celebrations are high. In terms of best gifts to get your girl friends, 20 something pals, or for those friends who are about to graduate, I got you! See below and let me know what you think in the comments.
I’m always a big fan of pictures frames, because they’re a good bang for your buck and they can be super personalized. They offer a sentimental moment, a personalized memory captured forever. Obviously, you have to also print the photo of choice to be encased in the frame, but I find these types of presents are super successful. Especially with everything being digital now a days, it’s nice to have a tangible, physical memory to display on a desk or in an apartment.
But Is It Useful?
As a kid and as a teenager, it can be fun to give gag gifts or silly presents, or simply things that don’t reallyhold any useful value. But as we enter adulthood, giving gifts that actually serve a resourceful purpose can be super useful. Whether your friends are graduating, moving in to a new apartment, or simply starting a new stage in life; getting them a gift they can actually use on the daily will provide much more value. Whether it’s a planner, a travel mug, a or wine bottle opener, gifts that are useful and personal can go a long way.
I’m also a big fan of putting together little goody bag like gifts for friends, especially for some of my girlfriend’s birthdays. Life can get stressful, and busy, especially as young adults. Sometimes, all a friend really needs is a few bath bombs, loofah, and chocolate. You can never give the gift of more time, but hopefully you can gift the gift of having a relaxing moment to yourself!
Finally, another great set of gifts for friends is to give them something related to a hobby or passion they have. Are they a fitness junkie? Give them some new protein powder or new fitness gear. Have they been looking to practice mindfulness? Perhaps a nice journal or two. Photography maniacs? Get them a personalized piece of photo equipment to add to their gear like a camera bag or camera strap. No matter what the hobby is, if your friend is super passionate about something, getting them a gift that helps feed that hobby can mean a lot to them!
Well Ramblers, thanks for indulging me, and I hope this helps you nail down the perfect gift for your friend’s next birthday. In the meantime, I just shipped Anne’s birthday gift t to her in Canada, but it will be almost a month until it arrives! Yikes! I’ll let you know what got her once it arrives. ;)
